Flora Ragless-Green, Paralegal

Flora joined DAC Beachcroft in 2016 as a paralegal and has had a variety of roles since within the firm, and more recently as a participant in Lawyer Connective. She is young and dynamic, and has enjoyed the variety of her early career.

In 2017, Intellectual Property Partner Andrew Allen-Jones explored the possibility of placing an on-site Lawyer Connective candidate into haptic technology innovators Ultrahaptics during a period of exciting growth. Ultrahaptics’ ground-breaking technology requires careful management of intellectual property rights with multiple licensing arrangements and patent protection against a continually evolving commercial backdrop.

Flora’s placement has enabled the firm’s Intellectual Property team to work seamlessly with Ultrahaptics technologist and intellectual property administrators. Flora was initially placed for a trial period to enable the arrangement to bed in. The arrangement has since been extended.

For Flora, we are working to ensure that, within the framework of Lawyer Connective, she can also build sufficient legal experience with enough variety to pursue qualification as a solicitor through the SRA’s equivalent means route. That route has been pursued by a number of young prospective lawyers working alongside the firm’s Corporate and Commercial team, presenting a much richer experience in the qualification process than the traditional training route.
